Inifinitiy (Digital Art Sculpture by Ivo Meier - Switzerland)

Infinity (Sweetspot)

The genesis of the Sweetspot series | 3D Printed Sculpture

Infinity (Sweetspot) captures the paradox of the endless within a finite point. As the first sculpture created for this series, it serves as the foundation for an exploration into reduction—seeking the "Sweet Spot" where complexity dissolves into a singular, powerful focus. It is a meditation on the infinite nature of details.

The "Sweetspot" Concept

In photography, the "sweet spot" is the absolute center of focus. As an artist, one must simultaneously grasp the microscopic detail and the sweeping whole. This series is a physical manifestation of that focus point.

The 3D-printed artworks in this collection represent a deep dive into reduction. By extracting the essence of larger concepts, the work moves to a next level of abstraction, concentrating purely on what is essential.

About this work

As an artist, you must have a focus on the very detail and the big picture at the same time. This duality is the heart of Infinity. Inspired by hundreds of macro photographs—from the intricate wrinkles of an elephant's skin to microscopic architectural structures—this work seeks the point where a detail becomes a universe of its own.

Created in 2020, Infinity was the catalyst for the entire Sweetspot series. It represents the ultimate goal of the collection: moving the artistic work to a level of absolute concentration. Whether displayed as a wall sculpture or placed on a shelf, it invites the viewer to find their own point of focus within the infinite.
